"Diagrams" is an AMO/OMA-Rem Koolhaas exhibition project for Fondazione Prada that explores the production, significance, statistical, and communicative functions, and the cultural, economic, scientific, social, and political consequences of visual communications, and infographics. It also examines various combinations of text and images, types of data analysis and synthesis, and graphic forms that we subsume under the term 'diagrams.'

This book features a wide range of diagrams selected from physical documents, prints, magazines, books, digital images, and videos. These materials are organized into thematic sections that delve into the history and recent narrations of themes central to understanding today's world: Built environment, Health, Inequality, Migration, Environment, Resources, War, Truth, and Value.

Designed by Irma Boom, the book is intentionally unfinished to communi-cate to readers certain phases in the production process. The codes and colors reference shared standards, give useful production data, and function as diagrams. The pages are printed, folded, and sewn but have not been cut. This volume was planned with a hard cover in mind, with its signatures reinforced by a band in crepe paper, but there is no cover, which leaves the endpapers visible. Inside, the printed sheets are fully exposed.
