Petra Pferdmenges is one of the pioneers in Europe of practice research in the disciplines of architecture and urban design. Her practice takes place largely in fragile neighborhoods in Brussels and constantly shuttles between bottom-up and top-down urban projects. Her strategy is to stimulate the local population to take the revival of the neighborhood into its own hands.
