This issue of C3 magazine introduces the most recent works by three Korean architects: Seung H-Sang, Byoungsoo Cho, and Heesoo Kwak. Four critics travelled across Korea to visit three buildings and interview the architects in person.

Also featured are reviews of five communal buildings that are intended to be shared and enjoyed by their communities. Each is set in a tranquil location and has its own personality. Finally, the issue investigates the hybrid nature of large community complex buildings, vertical towns that provide one-stop service systems. Clearly, with the acceleration of urbanisation, the position of architects in small rural towns versus mega-cities tends to differ greatly.
