The 'Cube houses' (Kubuswoningen in Dutch) are a set of tilted houses, close to the Blaak train and subway station. The houses consists of tilted cubes resting upon hexagon-shaped pylons. In total there are 38 cube houses, two 'super-cubes', and 16 small shop spaces. The 'Blaakse Bos' complex ('Blaak woods') was designed by architect Piet Blom in the seventies, and built between 1982 and 1984. On of the cubes houses a museum and is named the Kijkkubus ('Show Cube').
