JA 92. WORLD YEARBOOK 2013

World Architectural Scene in 2013

Uitgever:Japan Architect

  • Engels, Japans
  • 128 pagina's
  • 24 jan. 2014

This special issue of The Japan Architect (JA) magazine takes a retrospective look at the architecture of 2013, from both Japan and around the world.

A selection of 49 works from various cities focuses awareness on each project’s environment and its relationship with cultural contexts, enabling an examination of these remarkable new buildings beyond factors of place and scale and placing them within a global dialogue that involves not only creativity, but also responsiveness to social issues and future challenges.

Featured among the diverse works are MDRDV’s Glass Farm, the Danish Maritime Museum by BIG, Ghent Market Hall by Robbrecht en Daem, the Ando Museum and OMA’s Shenzen Stock Exchange.
