This latest issue of 2G is dedicated to the work of Carla Juaçaba, who founded her eponymous architectural practice in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2000. 

Carla Juaçaba's office is currently engaged in both public and private projects, focusing on housing and cultural programs. She worked with the architect Gisela Magalhães, mostly in exhibitions related to the Brazilian native arts and historical museums. Among her first works, there is a series of houses - Rio Bonito (2005), Varanda (2007), Minimal (2008) and Santa Teresa (2014) - a couple of exhibition design and the ephemeral pavilion called Humanidade, in Rio de Janeiro, conceived with the senior scenographer and theatre director Bia Lessa. She was invited to Venice Architecture Biennale 2018 with the project Ballast and also built one of the Vatican Chapels.
